Do you pray like a child?

Matthew 6:7-8

7  When you pray, don't babble like the Gentiles, since they imagine they'll be heard for their many words.

8  Don't be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask Him.

Prayer is not a formula to be perfected, but it is a relationship to be nurtured.  Our praying should be different from the way the world prays.  Social media provides us a glimpse into how unbelievers pray.  Their prayers do not focus on the glory of God but on self-centered desires.  Their requests are based on a wrong view of God.  The Christian is to pray like a child to their loving Father.  We don't pray to inform God of what is happening, but we pray because God knows what is happening.  Reflect on your prayers in the last week.  What do they reflect?  Do you pray like a child of God?
