God Does Not Change

Malachi 3:6. For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

Change is always happening.  It doesn't matter how you feel about change.  Change happens with every tick of the clock, or every new sunrise.  Change can stress us.  Change can cause division in  churches.  Change produces fear.  Malachi 3:6 tells us that God does not change.  Therefore our hope should be in God.  God is not moody.  Malachi reminds us that it is a good thing God doesn't change.  The sons of Jacob are not consumed because God doesn't change.  God made a covenant with them and despite their sinfulness. God kept His promise.  If we put on our New Covenant eyes, we can rest assured that saints will persevere to the end because Jesus is the same--meaning He does not change.  If we are in Christ, we will stay in Christ because of the unchangeable nature of Jesus.
