God Is Faithful

Genesis 50:20. As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.

Joseph spoke these words to his brothers as they regathered in the land of Goshen.  Jealousy drove them to sell their brother as a slave.  Joseph spent many years suffering in Egypt.  Suffering can cause a soul to doubt the faithfulness of God.  We may know God loves us in our head, but the heart is assailed by the Tempter and our flesh.  When we are living in the moment, we must by faith believe God is faithful.  We should read stories found in the Bible that tell us how God was faithful.  We should also remember the stories of others in our life.  Think about how God has been faithful to other Christians.  Take some time to reflect on what God has already done in your life and know that He is faithful.  In the new church year, we will face difficult days, but we should know that God will faithfully provide for us.
