No Honor For Jesus

Matthew 13:53-58

Have you ever said, "I have to see it to believe it."  I have witnessed some achievements that I wouldn't have believed unless I had seen it.  In the devotional, for today, Jesus goes home again.  He goes back to where people know him or his family.  I am sure some of my childhood Sunday School teachers might be shocked that I am a pastor.  They might remember some of my shenanigans as a foolish child.  The issue with Jesus was not anything defective in His childhood for He was perfect.  They just knew Jesus.  He didn't have the resume to be the Savior of the world.  The citizens of Nazareth heard His teachings and witnessed His miracles.  They couldn't deny them, but neither did they accept them as proof that Jesus was the Messiah.  Verse 57 tells us that they were offended at His teachings and His miracles.  They saw it but refused to believe it.  Their unbelief resulted in only a few miracles done in Nazareth.
