The Light of Christ's Glory

Matthew 17:1-13

We open blinds to let the sunlight into our home.  Christ pulls back His flesh to let the light of His glory out for Peter, James and John.  The transfiguration reveals the glory beneath the flesh of Jesus.  Jesus is always God.  He has never been less than God.  He didn't become God or lose his divinity.  The transfiguration simply pulls the veil back and allows His followers to behold the glory to come.  At this time, we cannot behold the glory of Christ as the disciples beheld it, but we can reflect on His glory from the Bible.  The Bible pulls back the curtain and allows us to behold the God-man.  The Bible is used by the Holy Spirit to encourage us and convict us.

Thankful Thoughts:  Give thanks that Jesus is 100% God and 100% man.
