Bro. Jeremy has been married to his wife Wendy since March of 2019.  Wendy is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and currently teaches 4th grade at CrossPointe Preparatory School in Searcy. 

God has blessed them with a daughter named Kingsley and a son named John Porter. Since they met later in life, they are mature parents rearing preschoolers.

Bro. Jeremy began his role as Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in August of 2023. Before coming to Temple, he held a variety of secular and ministerial positions. Most notably:

• Optometric Technician

• Intern for a megachurch

• Mechanical Engineer

He is well educated from some of the nations top Universities:

• Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (2008)

• Doctor of Philosophy with a focus in Missiology, New Testament, & Theology from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (2016)

• Bachelor of Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (2000)

While many verses come to mind, Bro. Jeremy’s favorite verse is probably Galatians 2:20.

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me”

Bro. Jeremy and Wendy are both passionate about the Bible (especially the chronological Bible), discipleship, and missions.

Outside of church, Bro. Jeremy enjoys playing with his kids, drinking coffee with lots of creamer, watching movies, and just spending time with people.
